Private Consultations


Ayurveda appeared from the spiritual texts of India, called the Vedas, the world’s oldest extant literature. “Ayur” means life or daily living, and “Veda” means knowing. It teaches us how to recognize the power of self-knowledge in harmony with nature’s rhythms. Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to a person’s whole being and wellness. This system of healing has been practiced for over 5,000 years and connects human beings to the natural world, keeping or returning a person to their rightful balance.

During an Ayurvedic Consultation, you will learn about Ayurvedic principles and how they apply to living in a balanced state of overall health and wellness with a deeper sense of joy and happiness. In our session, we will discuss the daily habits (dinacharya) and rhythms of life in correlation to the natural rhythms of nature. After a review of your health history, lifestyle, routines, goals, and any issues you wish to address, we will determine your Ayurvedic constitution. From an Ayurvedic perspective, we will also look at other factors such as energy level, diet, sleep, personal practices (ex. yoga, meditation, prayer) and other parts of your life. Together, we will work with you to develop an Ayurvedic wellness plan which includes a daily routine (dinacharya) to bring balance to your life. Along with foods, herbs, and body practices, this will include tools to help support you on your journey with practices that fit into your own lifestyle.

The purpose of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultations is to provide insight and recommendations on lifestyle habits to engage the body’s natural healing ability.

Your first appointment is approximately 1.25-1.5 hours and has a one-time charge of $125 for the initial consultation. Follow up sessions are recommended and will depend on time needed ($50 for 30 min, $90 for an hour, $25 per 15 min). During the consultation session you will obtain lifestyle recommendations for dosha balance including:

  • identify major health concerns
  • gain a deeper understanding of your constitution
  • acquire an overall health and lifestyle assessment
  • daily practices of asana, pranayama, meditation, dietary recommendations and more…
  • receive support/treatment recommendations and personalized treatment plan to apply immediately following our session (dinacharya or daily routine). This is one of the single most powerful Ayurvedic tools for improving overall health and wellbeing.

This session is a collaborative effort, making you an active participant in choosing what is best for you and your lifestyle. Intake sessions are casual, private, and confidential. Follow up sessions are recommend for accountability and treatment adjustments.

Private Sessions

The purpose of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultations is to provide insight and recommendations on lifestyle habits to engage the body’s natural healing ability.

The first steps in your personal growth is awareness of obstacles that you need to removed and changes that you need to make in order to grow. In our private session(s), you will learn to peel away the layers of misbelief, find your truth, make better choices, calm your emotions, find mental stillness, and create clarity of thinking. Consistent routine is the key to change and personal growth. Through practice and routine you will be able to manage your weight, get restful sleep, reduce your stress and fully enjoy your life. 

Kamie has studied a variety of ancient practices, Yoga and Ayurveda, and found a link between to their traditional structures and routines and a way to  make them easier to apply to modern lifestyles.  


Personalized Life Plan   

In our session you will learn the importance and the information needed to align with nature’s wisdom through practical daily routines and simple life hacks. Equip yourself with the tools to help in areas of sleep, nutrition, exercise, and stress management. Learn how habits such as overworking, skipping meals, trying to catch up on sleep over the weekends, and your perception of life and stress cause weight gain and dissatisfaction with life.

Personalized Nutrition Counseling 

Your digestion is a true reflection of your mental-emotional-physical state of balance or imbalance. Poor digestion, unhealthy or irregular dietary habits, unmanaged and accumulated stress, unsupportive relationships, inactive lifestyles, and environmental toxins can challenge your body’s ability to digest food properly. A weak digestive system results in the accumulation of toxins (ama), that cause imbalance, disease, and premature aging. A few signs of a stressed digestive system and accumulation of toxins are fatigue and lack of motivation, mental fogginess and forgetfulness, recurring infections and illnesses, and weight gain.

Our journey will be through virtues of life through the Yamas and Niyamas of the yoga philosophy, to find more ease and flow through your life. She has studied these ancient practices and found a link between to their traditional structures to make them easier to apply to modern lifestyles. The virtues of life consist of love and forgiveness, courage and gratitude, compassion and truthfulness, dedication and commitment, patience and understanding, self-discipline and wisdom, and surrender.

The Journey of a Yogi: The Yoga History and Philosophy

This module is designed for participants who are seeking to study the foundations of yoga history, philosophy, traditions, ethics of yoga and learn more about this 5000-year-old practice and the ancient teachings that continue to be relevant today. You will gain a better understanding of where yoga comes from including the various traditions and lineages and how these sacred practices can be utilized.

This module is a great place to get started with the basics of yoga philosophy, ask questions and choose a path to dive deeper. Participants are encouraged to dialogue, questions and discuss any and all topics during the program. The Whole-Hearted Teacher Training Program

Kamie is excited to offer a flexible 4 module, 200-hour teacher training program. The program will be led by Kamie Slegers who has studied a variety of styles of yoga, yoga therapies, and Ayurveda for over 23 years.

Her Teacher Training Program is designed for participants who are seeking to study the foundations of yoga history, philosophy, traditions, ethics of yoga and learn more about this 5000-year-old practice and the ancient teachings that continue to be relevant today. The sessions combine a mixture of eastern and western philosophy that are realistic and easy to incorporate into your life, with long-lasting, life-changing benefits. Consistent practice is the key to change and personal growth. You will learn to peel away the layers of misbelief, find your truth, make better choices, calm your emotions, find mental stillness, and create clarity of thinking.

You may attend our training to teach yoga or further your personal growth and gain knowledge in self-care and personal wellness through a variety of practices such as dinacharya (daily routine) and the multitude of benefits yoga has to offer. Class sizes are limited to eight students so you receive more individualized attention. Locations vary between NE Minneapolis (The Nest) and Anoka (Synergize Yoga Studio).
