- What is does it mean to have vibrant health, live life with meaning, and have a deep sense of peace, contentment, and purpose? Today, we are applauded for being over-worked, stressed, and exhausted. We are taught that stress, anxiety, and chronic disease are a normal part of life and aging. However, this could not be further from the truth. Ayurveda teaches us that there is always a choice, providing us with effective and intuitive tools that can be used to evaluate the degree of disharmony, whether slight or severe, to determine its cause and give us the practices to reclaim optimal health.

- Week #2 Sleep Hygiene + Pranayama – Wellness Wednesday, August 5th
- How well do you sleep? Do you have difficulty falling asleep? Do you wake up in the middle of the night? Do you stay up too late and get up too early? We spend approximately one-third of our lives asleep. Because of busy lifestyles, we do not truly receive the health benefits of sleep. As we drift off to sleep, our bodies begin their night-shift work. This is the time when it detoxifies and clears itself of physical toxins and processes daily emotions.

- Week #3 Move your body + Yoga – Wellness Wednesday, August 12th
- Exercise has been an important part of the Ayurvedic routine for thousands of years but it is looked very different. Today exercise focuses on rigorous routines, with exhausting results. It has become a modern fad, not suitable for optimal wellness. According to Ayurveda, exercise gets rid of heaviness and stiffness of the body, because it burns digestive impurities and toxins (ama) this creates more flexibility, lightness, smoothness, and ease of life.

- Week #4 Happy Belly + Recipes with Recording – Wellness Wednesday, August 19th
- Along with digestion, unhealthy or irregular dietary habits, unmanaged and accumulated stress, unsupportive relationships, inactive lifestyles, and environmental toxins can challenge your body’s ability to digest food properly. A weak digestive system results in the accumulation of ama, or toxins, that cause imbalance, disease, and premature aging. Your digestion is a true reflection of your mental-emotional-physical state of balance or imbalance. A few signs of a stressed digestive system and accumulation of toxins are fatigue and lack of motivation, mental fogginess and forgetfulness, recurring infections and illnesses, and weight gain.
