Kamie Slegers is a seasoned yoga teacher and Ayurvedic practitioner based in Minnesota, with over 25 years of experience in holistic wellness. She began teaching yoga in 1996 after discovering its healing power while rehabilitating from athletic injuries during her time at Southwest State University.
Her journey has been one of continual learning and integration.
Kamie is Certified as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Therapist, Marma Therapist, and a specialist in a diverse blend of bodywork modalities including cupping, craniosacral therapy, and behavioral habit coaching. Her education and experience allow her to lead transformative workshops on topics ranging from anatomy and mental health to women’s health, digestive care, and Ayurvedic nutrition.
Kamie recently earned her Master’s in Ayurvedic Nutrition and has begun her Master of Herbalism program, with plans to pursue advanced specialization in Panchakarma treatments. She continues to expand her knowledge in Marma therapy and acupressure, further enhancing her integrative approach to wellness.
She is devoted to developing personalized programs that support fertility, hormonal balance, menopause, diabetes, diet and nutrition, along with lifestyle transformation, all grounded in the wisdom of Ayurveda.
Kamie’s instruction is ingrained with empathy, clarity, and lived experience. She draws from her healing path to meet clients and students where they are, supporting them to build sustainable habits and reconnect with their innate healing capacity.
In 2024, Kamie launched Ru-Teas, a line of specialized herbal tea blends created in memory of her beloved therapy dog, Rufus. Her new puppy, Jeekee, also a certified therapy dog, often joins her sessions and brings joy to her clients, continuing the legacy of healing companionship.
