“Return to Simplicity”
Once per week (preferably the same day, such as Sunday or Monday). Reset digestion, reconnect with simplicity, and sustain lightness between seasons. Laghu Āhāra Dinam
The Day of Light Eating.
“Simplicity is medicine. In pausing from excess, I rediscover clarity. In lightness, I remember what truly nourishes.”
“In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be your strength.”
— Isaiah 30:15
Purpose
After the cleanse, life fills up again — responsibilities, heavier foods, more stimulation. This weekly reset gently reminds body and spirit how peace feels. It keeps agni bright, prevents āma accumulation, and honors the rhythm of rest that God built into creation.
Core Principles
- Simplicity: one-dish meals (khichari, broth, or stewed apples).
- Warmth: avoid raw or cold foods.
- Stillness: create a quiet, reflective environment.
- Hydration: sip warm water or CCF tea throughout the day.
- Reflection: write one page in your journal about what your body teaches you through simplicity.
